When selecting a carpet for your home there is a lot to consider. Cormar, in our opinion have just about everything covered from luxury to budget and everything in-between. Whatever carpet you select you can be assured of the finest service available from this award winning British company. The Company was founded in 1956 by Neville Cormack OBE who was a pioneer in tufted carpets, when he imported two tufting machines from America and started making carpets. These days they work from two mills in Bury, Greater Manchester and a backing plant in Aylsbury. All three operations run flat out to keep up with the demand for quality carpets. The Cormack family name is still at the factory with Neville’s son David Cormack as the marketing director of the company today. The Flooring Industry is continually changing and David makes sure the company is always on trend and up to date with ranges of carpets and colour banks for today’s discerning home owner. In the last ten years manmade fibres have taken over from the tradition 80/20 wool carpets. These days the quality of the manmade fibre is so good it is hard to tell it apart from 80/20 wool.
All Cormar carpets are covered with a Two Year Manufacturing Guarantee and a Two Year Pile Reversal Guarantee in line with the Carpet Foundation Code of Practice. This in turn is approved by Trading Standards UK.
In the unlikely event of any problems with your carpet or pile reversal in the first two years simply get in touch with the retailer and they will contact Cormar direct.
In addition to the Warranties above some carpets carry a 10 year Stain and Wear Warranty all the details are on the carpet samples.
One of the big things asked for these days is EASY CLEAN. All the carpets made from polypropylene have a built in resistance to stains. They can be cleaned with a solution of bleach. Ask the installer for all the information leaflets caring for your new carpet
Llandow Flooring Studio is also a family owned business. The family went in to Flooring and Interior design in 1977. Initially operating out of Llantiwt Major as Susan Terrett Home Interior Design Consultants. From there ending up as Show Home Interior Designers working for builders all over the Country. Llandow Flooring Studio proudly benefit from the combination of interior design skills and Byron Terrett’s technical knowledge as an NICF Master Fitter, a Floor Skills Master Fitter and a Quick Step Master installer. Byron Terrett was the winner of the British 2017 Carpet Fitting Championships.
Llandow Flooring Studio have been working with The Cormar Carpet Company for over 30 years and have an excellent relationship with them. Incidentally, the fitter who you see on the Cormar Carpet’s web site is in fact our master fitter Byron Terrett.
